Bodhi Girl started off as just a thought a few years ago...

As a graphic designer by trade and lifetime cat lover, bodhi girl is named after MY sweet Bodhi girl, who was my bestie tabby for almost 20 years.

Life takes unexpected twists and turns, so when my mine went left when I wanted to go right, it led me to the opportunity to work in cat rescue and adoption in conjunction with retail and cat supplies at Just Cats. This also afforded me the chance to test out and sell some of my cat-themed items, like stickers, hand-made lip butters and greeting cards.

Bodhi Girl was born during this time, and now here we are! My goal is to bring joy and smiles to all my customers, and provide fun and creative items for everyone.

I also believe in giving back. That’s why a portion of my Etsy sales are donated to cat charities and rescues both locally in Colorado and across the country. Light a Bodhi Girl Candle and know you are also supporting a cause close to the heart of every cat lover.

Artemisia & Rue became a client in 2011. I was excited to work with the owner, Shelley Torgove, and bring this new identity to life. The design process consisted of integrating the many facets of her practice as well as the retail side of her shop, into an identity that would translate to her existing clients and future patrons. It's been wonderful to see her business grow and evolve, and I'm grateful to still be a part of that process.

Shelley is a practicing Clinical Herbalist, trained Fertility Awareness Instructor and Certified Massage Therapist with over 23 years of experience. She was also one of the first students trained in Maya Abdominal Massage.

Who doesn't love a cool beer label? Especially if it's designed just for you on your wedding day. Jeff and Tammy came to bsquared design wanting to create beer labels for two brews they actually had a hand in crafting. They were brewing these beautiful batches for their guests to enjoy. Honeymoon Orange Peel Ale was a light and crisp brew. 'Till Death Do Us Part was a darker barley draft. Let's just say they were a big hit!

Chef Justin Hugill (a.k.a Big Kiwi) approached bsquared design with a food truck dream. I was more than happy to oblige! A fun project from beginning to end, Justin wanted to incorporate the iconic Koru to represent his New Zealand roots here in Colorado. The final result was a fun, bold and bright identity that can't be missed as he's riding around Denver, or parked at the local breweries around town. Hale Pule is a beautiful Ayurveda and Yoga retreat in Hawaii, located on the magical island of Kauai. Myra Lewin (owner, Ayurvedic Health Practitioner and Yoga teacher trainer) approached bsquared design with the request of rebranding. Hale Pule wanted to give their identity a fresh and cohesive look that not only captured the lush feeling of the island, but also incorporated their Ayurvedic and yoga practices. The icon incorporated into the logo is representative of the 5 elements of Ayurveda merging together, which form the building blocks of life : ether, air, fire, water and earth.

WhiteWave Foods, a client since 2008, needed a postcard mailer for their Silk brand. They wanted to drive participants to their booth at the annual Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA. Since Silk is a plant-based and natural product, the postcard design reflects a more welcoming and hand-made feel, using letterpress to give the piece more texture and personality.

b.fly sugar scrubs launched in 2013, starting out as holiday gifts for family and friends.

As the lovechild of bsquared design, Bonnie used her contacts and clients to pitch her product for retail sales. They started selling around Colorado and in the Lower Haight neighborhood in San Francisco.

b.fly sugar scrubs are made from all-natural & organic ingredients. Each jar contains organic cane sugar, kosher salt & safflower oil (infused with vitamin E) as a base. WhiteWave Foods was opening a new plant in Dallas, Texas and requested a custom-made invitation for their grand opening. bsquared design needed to find a solution to present a unique invitation with not only the event details, but accommodation information as well. These were being delivered individually to the invitees, and needed to make an impact upon opening. The result was a sophisticated and elegant, yet welcoming invitation package. Utilizing the colors of the WhiteWave brand, a beautiful aqua silk ribbon finished the piece, and tied in the amazing letterpress work of the die cut invitation in the shape of Texas.

Jessica and Chris approached bsquared design to design their wedding invitation. The request was for the invite to be playful, yet elegant and sophisticated, incorporate their wedding colors, and reflect their personalities. Since there were multiple pieces for this project, the bride wanted to create an invitation that was self-contained and all-inclusive. The solution was an elegant envelope with a pocket that folded into itself. Custom made stickers finished the look to secure the flap. The end result? One happy bride!

Every year, 97.3 KBCO has a cover art contest for their Studio C CD compilation. I was honored to win for Volume 15. Winning this contest led to additional work with KBCO.

Horizon Organic wanted to put together an information card for the BolderBOULDER participants. It was added to their swag bag they received at the end of the race. In addition to Horizon showing their support and congratulating the runners, they wanted to direct them to their website to receive coupons and Horizon recipes.

The annual BolderBOULDER 10K has a long-standing tradition of placing local Colorado bands along the race course. This CD showcases these bands in a "bootleg" that is included in the swag bags the runners receive at the end of the race.

Sonja and Robin approached bsquared design with the desire to brand their new Ayurvedic cafe, The Dhal House. They wanted to convey an inviting, fun, simple and connected image, while promoting a more conscious and healthy Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle. This was a really exciting and fun project, with the added bonus of getting to taste test their delicious menu!

WhiteWave Foods was looking for a creative way to include a variety of information into one cohesive invitation for their annual Supplier Summit. The solution was an fun and interactive, yet sophisticated multi-page invitation. By incorporating tabs, the invitees could easily access the information they needed.

Skin care specialist extraordinaire Jessica Morton wanted to covey a sense of calm and relaxation with her brand. She requested to incorporate a fleur de leis into her logo, and wanted her business cards to serve a dual purpose : provide contact information while also reminding clients of their next appointment.
